My daughter (aka Lisa Bzibziak) asked me and my friend, neighbor and member of our Little Crop Group (Melanie Richards) if we wanted to participate as Buddies for the Coffee Loving Cardmakers with our focus on using a sketch and products from Paper Smooches. And an extra plus, I was able to combine with the Three Amigos last Challenge "Inspiration Board".
Our job was to select a sketch from Paper Smooches. So off to the internet...looking up some of the oldest sketches and found this Sparks Challenge from July 2011. Interesting concept whereby each month you were given (10) sketches and/or a color combo of (12) choices. We chose the first sketch and the next morning we went off to a crop together at my daughter's...what a fun time, lunch at Lisa's home and ended with dinner at Red Lobster.
This card has also been shared with Double Trouble "SomeThing, AnyThing, EveryThing" Challenge #34 using our Twisted Sister's Optional Twist "Sunshine" - Please check us out - you probably already have something you have created that will fit this challenge...come aboard with Thing 1, 2 and 3...we would love your participation.

I knew the dies and stamps I was going to use and of course what my layout would be but it took me a long time to put them together. Colored the sun/cloud stamp and the cup with Copic Sketch pens...that was the easy part.
Gemini was kept pretty busy...cut several Paper Smooches "House Plants" in many different design papers and placed them against some very plain background papers. It wasn't until I came across a cute cloud background that I could see my card coming together. Again, there was a lot of switching around the different patterned House Plants previously cut but finally saw that background was an excellent choice. It was time for our trip to Red Lobster so my card was finished at home.
At home, cut out one more "House Plant" and it was the one that made it pop, adhered to the background with the last cut placed with flower and leave edges curled for dimension.

The larger cloud was adhered directly to the background and the cloud/sun was layered and adhered with 3D thin foam tape. The little birdie and sentiment were final adds to my card.
