All the Goodness of Life is a Cup

Day 2...Be sure to stop on over to the Spring Coffee Lover's BlogHop and check out all the great projects and cards...they are filled with inspiration...join in the fun...you have until the 25th to submit as many cards as you want that are Spring themed and include coffee, tea or hot chocolate.

In my travels I had seen an image where a teacup was made into a flower which inspired me to make a bouquet of flowers with teacups and use the tea kettle for the pot.

So off to Cricut Design Space to find an appropriate stem and leaves to go with the teacup chosen. I chose a stem with flowers (seen below), and pulled in two of the same to work some magic...modifying using combinations of slice, weld, attach, and reverse image.  After the stem and leaves were completed I made a back panel with a lighter color green, adhered to other image, distressed the leaves.
The teacups and sentiment were from a Stamp Set from Verve, and the teapot was another Cricut Design Space die-cut which I didn't even have to modify or change the size...perfect.

The purple panel, using the negative from a doily cut, was adhered to red cardstock, and layered with a yellow border.  The flower teacups were stamped, colored, fussy-cut, attached to the leaves which were distressed, and then floral image was adhered to the card with 3D thin foam tape

Teapot was cut with design paper and one other layer, distressed along edges, and using both 3D Regular and Thin Foam Tape to make the teapot more dimensional and rounded.

Used the teacup stamp and put a border of cups on the inside of card.

A Hug In A Mug

Day 1... March 18- March 25, 2016 for the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

Welcome to this week's Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #185Join us in this week’s challenge using only and all the colors in photo (Cotton Candy, Sweet Leaf, Topiary, Glacier and White Daisy.) You have until Thursday, March 24, 2016 to create and link up your project. Another great color combination for Easter/Spring...look forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge.

This was also created for March 7th Heart2Heart Challenge, "Retirement which can be retired paper packets, embellishments and stamp sets. I chose to use some of the "Retired" Paper Fundamentals design cardstock.

All die-cuts, stamped cacti and flowers, as well as the background, both the new and the retired designs, were used.  The stamped images were fussy-cut, edges rounded and adhered to the background using 3D Thin Foam Tape to raise the center of each cacti.

Arizona cacti are all so beautiful in the Spring/Summer Season.  We might not have much green grass but the cacti are many shades of green, and the flowers that come out of the cacti are a variety of colors and so pretty and some just give out an abundance of flowers.

The Mug was a die-cut from Cricut Design Space that was modified, removing the center, to make a shaker card.  The sentiment on top was designed by me in Cricut Design Space, and the sentiment on the bottom was a stamp and fussy-cut.

This is a picture of the inside of the card using a larger cut of the mug for a sentiment, and then adding a couple cacti in the corner.  This also shows the rounded edging used on the cacti and the layering of the mug and cacti for more dimension.

You're One of a Kind

This card was created using Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #151.  Wasn't sure what I was going to do with this sketch...it looked like a series of band aids for a Get Well Card but DT Members already had this same idea.  So, back to the drawing board...I didn't want to use just patterned paper for each section so I thought a combination of many flowers would be a great spring card.

I cut several flowers from Cricut Design Space, and then stamped them with a variety of colors using the polka dot flower, glued the white flower to each and adhered on card in sets of three using glue and 3D Thin Foam Tape on the ones in the middle and leaving a space for the Sentiment.

This is a close up of the Sentiment and the pretty bird showing the foam tape layering.

The inside of the card was decorated on the inside right-hand corner with some left-over flowers, leaving space for a personal note.

Eggs-tra Special Delivery Easter Wishes

This Easter Card was inspired by Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #150, using the Kaleidoscope PaperPak and Stamp Set "Hopping By Holiday".  The purple panels were die-cut and modified for the different sizes in the sketch, a piece of design paper adhered in each panel, and two panels adhered direct to card and the other two adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape.

The bunny in his carrot-mobile was colored, fussy-cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape. Sentiments stamped, one attached to the back of the carrot-mobile and the other cut and framed on a left-over modified rectangular die-cut.

It's Your 25th Anniversary

Welcome to this week's Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #184Join us in this week’s challenge using only and all the colors in photo (Smoothie, Canary, Flaxen, Sweet Leaf and White Daisy.) You have until Thursday, March 17, 2016 to create and link up your project. Another great color combination for Easter/Spring...look forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge.

This card was made for my daughter and son-in-law's 25th Wedding Anniversary...the colors were just perfect.  Using the Canary, Sweet Leaf and Smoothie Inks on White Daisy cardstock, the background was stamped with the flower from CTMH Stamp Set "Love This Seasons & Nature" (masking many of the flowers) and then adhered it to a piece of Flaxen cardstock.

Additional flowers were stamped, "clear" heat embossed, fussy-cut and adhered four of the flowers on top of the background flowers and added pearls to the center.  From my stash I added the butterfly which was a Cricut Design Space die-cut.

Sentiment was added and paneled with a piece of glitter paper, and created the 25 in Cricut Design Space.

The inside of the card was stamped with the same flower in the bottom right-hand corner.

You're Tweet

Welcome to this week's Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #183Join us in this week’s challenge using the colors in photo (White Daisy, Thistle, Pear, Honey and Crystal Blue.) You have until Thursday, March 10, 2016 to create and link up your project. Great color combination for Easter cards...look forward to seeing your inspirations for this color challenge.  The Color Challenge was combined with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #149.

My card had been completed, and without even having another challenge in mind, when I opened up Heart 2 Heart Challenge everything just fell in place with the first March theme Challenge is to use 3...

My card had 3 branches, 3 Birdies, 3 Banners, 3 Butterflies, 3 Panels with the same framed cardstock and 3 different design papers from the Paper Pak "Penelope".  And should I add the Sentiment as 3 words "You Are Tweet"?

Other than a lot of fussy-cutting and adding glitter tape and liquid glass to the leaves, the card went together pretty fast.  This next picture shows the detail.

Please click on any of the highlighted challenges to see the many inspirations and creative designs from each of the Design Team members and the many submissions to all of the challenges.  Some of the these challenges may still be open so click on by and join us for some fun challenges.
