Pumpkin Pie Time

This is a Thanksgiving card which was created for the Bitten By a Bug 2 Challenge (Fall Pumpkins) using the ColorMyHeart Color Dare Challenge #166  and the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #132. Who doesn't like Pumpkin Pie, and I don't always wait for Thanksgiving for this treat.

In Design Space I came across a doily of pumpkins and thought that would make a nice focal point for the Atlantic Heart sketch.  Cut two different sizes, and then cut a Pumpkin Window Latch layering each, adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape, then added liquid glass to the Latch, and Wink of Stella to the doilies.  Cut another circle for the inside of Latch and in Design Space typed the text "Pie Time" which was cut in the circle and adhered to pumpkin rosette.  Stamped the sentiment, distressed with black ink, and added a couple of green leaves on each side and added Wink of Stella.

My Pumpkin

This is a card made for the Freebie Progressive Challenge, donated by Gerda Steiner Designs, for the October Challenge at The Outlawz Challenges.  First I colored the image with ShinHan alcohol based pens so that I could select an appropriate background paper...I selected a design sheet from the Pathfinding PaperPak which made it appear as falling leaves.  Used Cricut to cut a tree, but it appeared too small; thus cut another one larger and decided to use both.  Cut many colorful leaves and placed on both trees.  Popped up the one in the foreground with 3D foam tape making it appear more dimensional.  With a thin 3D Foam Tape, I popped up the image between the trees to make it appear as child is walking between the colorful trees on a path of fallen leaves with a cart of pumpkins.  Added a cricut cut puppy and popped up with 3D foam tape for a third dimension.  The sentiment was also a Cricut cut and adhered directly to the background and added Wink of Stella. Chose the chocolate design cardstock from Paper Fundamental for the back panel.  Added liquid glass to the tree trunks, leaves and pumpkins to bring out some texture.

The inside of the card was personalized for the proud owner of this card

A Little Batty

The Colors on this card were from ColorMyHeart Color Dare #165, combined with a new challenge that caught my interest because it was a Cricut Cut and CTMH Challenge called Bitten By The Bug2 and the challenge was for a Halloween card to include a bat.  Click on either of these Blogs to see the Design Teams inspirations and many other cards submitted for these challenges.

I started out with the Spider Web Card and Abigail from Paper Sweeties, and then pulled in other Halloween Elements to complete the card.  I selected the Paper Fundamentals Basics "Whisper" for the background because it reminded me of small webs. It wasn't until then that it struck me to make this into a shaker card, using some plastic sequins bats I had just purchased from Michaels. However, when I went into ColorMyHeart this morning to check to see if they had posted winners I saw ScrappyHorses (Katrina's) card which I may have sub-consciously scrap-lifted her shaker card. Also my daughter during the crop this past weekend did a spider web card too, but not a shaker. So, I was destined to use this spider web card.

Added "Wink of Stella" Clear on Abigail's Witch Costume and Cauldron and added liquid glass to the contents of the cauldron to pull in shine and bubbles of the boiling pot.

BittenByTheBug2 - Going Batty Challenge: Something easy, peasy for this week...chose to have a BAT on card or project.  Halloween projects are so much fun with all the cute images...can't wait to see what you come up with!  Click here to view what the design sisters have come up with...awesomeness for sure. Marienthal Country Inn Scrapbooking Crop

October 23-25, 2015 Marienthal Country Inn Scrapbooking Crop in Langford NY (near Eden).  My intent was to get a good start on my Christmas Cards.  I started my Christmas Cards with reference to the (10) cards Lisa (my daughter) made for a Christmas Card Workshop with my favorite PaperPak "White Pines" and the PML (Picture My Life) White Pines Scrapbooking Program cards .  These are the smaller cards (2 1/4" x 5").

Go to BZScrapper66.blotspot.com and see the original cards for the Workshop, and join Lisa for a future Workshop.   I also used some of the images from the White Pines Complements for some minor changes and/or adds to a couple of the cards.

Changed the Sentiment Location and added the ribbon

Added the Bear from the Complements Die-Cuts
Added the Snowflake instead of Flower and changed the Sentiment
Added Liquid Glass to the Snowflakes

This card was a Workshop Card Donna Davis designed for everyone attending the Crop using the Christmas PaperPak "White Pines". Click here to visit Donna's blog (Diary of a Scrapbook Addict)     for other beautiful cards she has designed.  This is a 5" x 7" card.

Kaleidoscope Zoo Birthday Card

This Birthday card was created using Heart2Heart Cricut Capers Challenge and used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #130, turning the Sketch to Landscape.  The background paper is one of the design papers from Kaleidoscope making it appear as a rainbow forest of colors.  The cute wild life animals and Vine are all stamps from Wild Wonders Occasions, stamped and all fussy-cut.  The Clouds, Palm Tree/Coconuts and Grass were all dies from Cricut Design Space. Clouds were embossed and Liquid glass was added to the Coconuts to give them a rounded appearance.

A Friend

This card was made for the Color My Heart Color Dare #164.  Wasn't too sure how the grays would blend in with the other bright colors.  I framed the card with the Black and Slate and then layered with the Eggplant Paper Fundamental Paper.  Added a doily that I brushed with Whisper Ink, assembled the flower and then placed it in the middle of the doily with 3D Thin Foam Tape and added liquid glass to the center of the flower.   Cut some leaf vines and placed around flower and added sentiment...happy with the results of the color combination and layout which made the flower pop.

Fall & Sunflowers "Missing You"

As I was planning my card for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #131 combined with Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #163, I got to thinking how much I miss the Fall Season and the fields of Sunflowers back in my hometown in Western New York and created the card with this thought in mind for the Heart2Heart "Home Is" Challenge.

Poppy, Goldrush, Canary, Cocoa, Kraft

If Friends were Flowers I'd Pick You

This card was created using Color My Heart Color Dare #162; however didn't seem happy after two different attempts of a card:  (1)  to use either Paper Sweeties "Abigail" or (2) masking some pretty floral flowers along a border.  Couldn't decide what to do with either attempt and the Color Dare's clock was running down...had to do something.  I sent a photo to my daughter's phone showing both attempts, side by side.  She suggested to change her dress to the same blue as the flower...I did, along with all the other colors, so that she could hide in the flowers, sneak up on anyone coming through the garden and surprise them.  Now I could complete my card (below see the picture of Abigail's first outfit...you may see that one in a future card.)
