UPTOWN - Sun is Shining

October 3, 2016 Heart 2 Heart we are going UPTOWN! ...what is uptown? It could be anything you consider uptown, is it a night out on the town, is it the City Scapes paper, it is Uptown Girl by Billy Joel or Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars. When you hear "uptown" what do you think of and share it with us!  Check out the design team creations to inspire you.

Looking at City Scape images and clipart on computer there was one photo, that caught my eye with a fantastic sunrise or sunset behind City Scapes.  So off to Cricut Design Space...however, did not find the die-cut needed...so proceeded to make my own.  Then even thought about making my own City Scape, however found a couple in Cricut Design Space dies that would be a lot less work.

My background sky was water colored using yellows and oranges to create the brilliance of the sky, and then Wink of Stella added to the rays.

The Eiffel Tower is a stamp and then fussy-cut and layered with a shadow of black. My dream of one day seeing the Eiffel Tower; however, the closest I will get to that is Las Vegas...so you can decide whether this is Las Vegas or Paris City Scape...nonetheless both Uptown.

The City Scapes and Eiffel Tower were all adhered with 3D thin foam tape for a very dimensional look.

This is the inside of my card using one of the negatives of my City Scape die-cut.

Sentiment stamped on White Daisy cardstock and then water colored to match the sky.

Pick o' the Patch - AHSC #180

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #180. You still have time to join this challenge...so hop on by to check out the other Design Team member inspirations and other entrants...you have until Sunday, October 9th to enter your project.

Combined sketch with Between the Folds "creative stamping techniques" a perfect sketch for a stamp set I've had a long time and have wanted to use.

Lots of...stamping on white cardstock, coloring with ShinHan and Copic alcohol-based pens, and fussy-cut (with the help of Brother ScanNCut on the Scarecrow.)  The sentiment was printed on vellum so full image could be seen, heat embossed with copper embossing powder, fussy-cut, distressed on edge and adhered over image.

1st Photo: The inside of the card, another image from same Stamp Set was used in the lower corner. 2nd Photo: Close up of stamped images, embossing and layering to show the different levels of dimension.  3D Thin Foam Tape was used.

You Warm My Heart

September 23 - September 30, 2016

Since I only had the cardstock for the Sea Glass, decided to look to Cricut Design Space for a great background using the negative die cuts instead of the frame and adhered to Sunset cardstock...what a beautiful color combination.  Sticking with these two colors, used a favorite die-cut of mine and put in the center and added sentiment in the upper r-h corner. Wasn't a lot of time to put together, just deciding what to use to show off the Sea Glass as much as possible...I'm happy with the results.

Boo - Color Dare #213 Jeepers Creepers

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #213: Join us in this week’s challenge combining Lagoon, Lemon, Tangerine, Raspberry, Emerald, Pansy, Black, Greys and White Daisy...using the colors that are in the Jeepers Creepers PaperPak.

We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors...and still join in the fun. You have until Thursday, October 6th to enter your project.  You don't need a blog to submit your entry...if you are a member of Pinterest you can set up a Folder and link your entry to our Challenge.

Combined with MoJo Monday's Sketch Challenge #467 and The Outlawz Challenges "Tuesday Color Challenge" - you can use all the colours or just one or two but the main colour featured must be purple.  Please hop on by these challenges to see what Design Team Members and entrants have created and join in the fun.

Has been a long time since I have done a square card...however, with using the Jeepers Creepers PaperPak, with similar colors in The Outlawz color challenge and having one of my favorite doilies with a border of pumpkins for the sketch, let my card begin.

So now off to my Cricut for the many die-cuts needed for my scary Halloween card...three sizes of corner webs, the pumpkin doily and the spider tag.  Instead of using a Bow above my tag chose to use a bold sentiment "BOO".  The spider web hooking on to the tag is black nail tape.  The inside of the card...adhered a spider web and a Boo sentiment from an old retired CTMH stamp set.
