Challenge #210 3-2-1 Recipe "Scrapper's Guacamole" with TSOT #689

This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble #210 3-2-1 Recipe "Scrapper's Guacamole" and combining it with our Sister Challenge for inspiration, Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT Sketch #689) which starts on Feb 17th Date. This card will not be entered in TSOT challenge due to the backlinking rule but was my inspiration of combining the two challenges to show how easy it is to participant in both challenges.

The Let's Party paperpack was perfect for the three complementary patterned papers for my party background. Each panel was adhered to card base and then dry embossed for texture. This completed the 3-2-1 recipe; but Twisted Sister wanted us to include our favorite snack.

When our family gets together for birthdays and other events on the weekend many times we have tacos and/or creamy taco dip. Using the leftovers the next day we add corn chips, cheese and guacamole for snacking and this is a favorite snack of mine. My son's birthday will be coming up soon and this will be his Shell-ebation birthday card.

I didn't have food snack stamps so went to the internet, selected a taco with all the fillings, fussy-cut three images, using one for layering and adhered with 3D thin tape. Also, searched on internet for cute taco puns, typed sentiment and pun, printed on white paper, and bordered with candy apple cardstock.

The focal point panel was cut using white cardstock, dry embosed, and bordered with candy apple cardstock. The tacos and sentiment were adhered to this panel and had an after-thought and fussy-cut a banner from another design paper to give the card a festive look.

Challenge TSOT #688 with DTC #209 3-2-1 Recipe "The Mail Must Go On"

This is my Design Team project for Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT) Sketch #688 and combining it with out Sister Challenge, Double Trouble # 3-2-1 Recipe "The Mail Must Go On".

This stamp is one of my favorites and thought it would be perfect for TSOT's sketch. Using Memento London Fog ink I stamped image at an angle and off the edge of a 4" x 5 1/4" white cardstock which left a lot of white space for my CAS technique. A second image was stamped to fussy cut some of the flowers to adhere with 3D thin foam tape for dimension. Recipe completed 3-layers, 2-fussy cut images, and 1-CAS Technique.

The image was colored using Copic Sketch alcohol-base brushes in a variety of pastel colors, adhered fussy-cut florals with 3D tape, the white cardstock was bordered with a good color match of the purple flowers and then adhered to cardbase. Sentiment was stamped in London Fog.

On the inside buttom right-hand corner of the card base I stamped the same image angled at the bottom and off the edge using London Fog with no coloring.

Please hop on over to Try a Sketch On Tuesday, check out the Design Team's inspiration for this sketch and share your creativity... hope to see you there.

You may want to hop on over to our sister challenge, Double Trouble to see if you have already met their 3-2-1 Recipe ingredients. If you have, you can enter the challenge and be eligible for random drawing chances... or maybe you just have to add an ingredient to meet the requirement. Hope to see you there.

Challenge #209 3-2-1 Recipe "The Mail Must Go On" - I Love You

This is my Design Team project for Double Trouble #209 using the 3-2-1 Recipe "The Mail Must Go On" and using inspiration from our Sister Challenge, Try a Sketch on Tuesday (TSOT Sketch #688) which starts on February 3rd. My card will not be entered in TSOT challenge due to the backlinking rule but was my inspiration of combining the two challenges to show how easy it is to participant in both challenges.

Don't be confused DTC's 3-2-1 Recipe "The Mail Must Go On" above for a CAS card. 3-Layer ingredient because it simply uses the card base as one layer, a second layer with the color background for Twisted Sister's optional twist and at least one or two die cut for a third layer, or one die and a stamped image. Make sure you look at the ingredient on the post for samples of many 3-layer CAS cards or click HERE.

Used one of the negatives from the heart die cut in the r-h corner of the inside of the card.

Please hop on over and join us at Double Trouble, have fun with our 3-2-1 Recipe "The Mail Must Go On" and play along with our optional twist and dare while earning additional chances to our random draw.
