This is my Design Team card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #532 using "purples and blues + 1 additional color choice (pink)". My intent was to make the blending look like the blue and purple image in the Board... BUT it didn't come close. Another BUT... I spent a lot of time on the blending and need a card for this challenge.
Decided to keep it simple... selected "Birthday Borders" using thin dies to cut each in the blended panel. Another BUT... the pink used in the blend didn't show up very well so decided to back the blended panel with Blossom cardstock.
The thin die borders were stamped with Sapphire Ink and adhered with 3D foam tape over the cuts in the blended panel. Another BUT... All four thin dies were placed on panel and when reversed to put through a second time the two center dies slipped and took off some of the height of the border thus making the pink show up more on those borders. Another BUT, I liked more of the pink peeking out so didn't cut out new borders.
My last BUT... It still needed something more. In the stamp set there was a confetti and streamers stamp. Using Garnet Ink this image was stamped between the borders.
Even though I had all these BUTs I was happy with my Birthday card. BUT what do you think?
Please stop by at ColorMyHeart Color Dare to give you some inspiration for this Color Challenge and let's see what you create... hope to see you there.
