Thank You - Color Dare #325

This is my DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #325 using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday #390 "Bold & Bright".  A lot of die cuts, and switching around of the layers was a real challenge to me.  It wasn't until I decided to use vellum that it all seemed to come together...and I was pleased with it.

The background is the lighter side of Heather cardstock and layered with sugarplum.  Chose to use some of the CTMH Paper Fundamentals "Eggplant" and "Heather" design papers for the two larger panels using some crooked edge rectangular die-cuts, layered with same die cut with sugarplum and eggplant for a shadow.  Used vellum, a silver striped design, for transparency and adhered to the two larger panels.

The smaller rectangular panel was cut using the same die and again layered with sugarplum for a shadow.  Using the same vellum, cut the flower, layered and adhered each with thin foam dots for dimension. Sentiment was die cut and adhered to small panel.

This is just a closer view of the flower to show the detail and the vellum design paper with silver stripes.

Sue I love the double matted layers behind the lacy flower. The strip of vellum is a nice touch, too! Pretty card!

A truly lovely card, Sue! I love the softness the vellum gives your card so that all the layers don't make it look too "heavy". The airy flower contributes to that feeling of femininity and lightness. Great use of our Try Stampin' on Tuesday sketch, and a perfect example of your many talents! Thanks for sharing!!! -Donna

Oh, I love this - so many layers and it is so soft. The use of the retired Fundamental paper is a perfect background for your gorgeous flower in the centre. Terrific work on this card - I can imagine all the hours that went into creating that flower in the centre as well!
