You're Berry Special

Couldn't pass up this cute House and Mouse Stamp and decided to use it for Three Amigo's BlogHop Challenge #1 "Nom, Nom"  using The Paper Players Sketch Challenge #382, but turned to landscape.  

Each of the panels were cut to size and then using the using the Elizabeth Craft Designs "Dashing Rectangles" centered them inside to cut the stitching on three of the sides and then centered it again on the fourth side and die cut just on the stitch.  

I stamped two of the image, colored the full image with Copic alcohol-based brush pens, fussy-cut the strawberry from the second image, colored and then layered on top of first image with 3D thin foam tape.  Gave great dimension to the strawberry but it didn't photo well.

Heart2Hearts theme "Everything But The Kitchen Sink" ... share a little love from your kitchen, or pile on the layers and embellishments.  Guess what I picked. 

You guessed it...Pile on Layers and Embellishments.  The design papers for all three panels were cuts from the PML cards in the "Make Waves" and layered with Lagoon and White Daisy, and each panel embellished with liquid glass, glitter, flowers, fussy-cut fish, starfish and mermaid.  For the layout of my card I used the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #253 which shouted out layers and embellishments also.

TicTacToe Color Dare #281 Make Waves Color Palatte

This is my design card made for Color Dare #281 combined with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #441. 

You will get to choose colors from a Tic-Tac-Toe board using the Close to My Heart color palette from the featured paper pack of the month. In February we have been featuring colors from the "Make Waves" paper pack. You must use and identify the three colors in a row/column of your choice with your entry. You may also add any or all of the other colors from the Tic-Tac-Toe board but you may not add any additional colors NOT on the board.

I chose to use the bottom row "Pansy, Bashful, Pixie" and other colors from the Tic-Tac-Toe Board and a couple of design papers from the "Make Waves" paper pack.  

Zip Strip and one of the design papers were added to the borders on the inside of the card.

Hello Friend - H2H Feb 2018 Week #3 "Sunny Days"

The DT project for this week at Heart2Heart is a theme "Sunny Days" and a digital image from The Outlawz celebration for their 7th Birthday by Andrea - Sheepski Designs "Sunflowers" fit the theme.  Pulled out my copic pens, colored the sunflowers attempting to use a few of the copic class techniques I learned, and then fussy cut.  Die cut two jars using white cardstock and vellum, colored the jar on the white cardstock extending the stems, glued them to the colored jar, glued the vellum on the top and adhered sunflowers and jar to background with thin foam sheet.  

It still needed something...went through some of my previous cuts not used and found the burst of arrows which were cut from Cricut Design Space.  Had to improvise and cut out the area around the sunflowers and jar and then adhered to background.  Used a die sentiment and adhered to the vellum...pleased that it didn't cover up too much of the focal point.

House Mouse & Friends "Spring Colors"

I was invited and honored to be a Guest Designer for House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #260 "Spring Colors" and combined it with the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #252.

This image was from an earlier coloring class with Jennifer Dove at The Paper Collage and all it needed was a little touch up and some blending pen on a pen leak.  Chose some bright spring colors for the background and layered with the willow green.  Added the layered sentiment and some heart embellishments.  

This inside of my card was just a border of the same background paper as on the front of my card.

It's Your Day - Color Dare #280

This is my DT Card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #280 using the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #440.  The sketch and colors just screamed out flowers and flourish.  Originally  had a white panel with black trim but when the black was placed the contrast was striking and really showed off the bright beautiful colors.  Some die-cutting of flowers and flourish,  adhering with tape and 3D thin foam tape and Clear Wink of Stella for some soft glitter. Sentiment stamped in black.

So Sweet - H2H Feb 2018 Week #2

Wanted my project as DT member of Heart2Heart to be filled with sweetness and love and feel it was accomplished by using the CTMH "Gimme Some Sugar" along with Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #439 and adding a cupcake for the Three Amigo's BlogHop Challenge #11 "nom nom".  My focal panel was dry embossed, layered and adhered to my background.  The cupcake dies were cut with other design papers, glitter paper and PML card from the same paper packet, layered and adhered to the oval embossed panel. Instead of a bow added a couple candy hearts, sentiment and sequins in the upper r-h corner. Card was made with generic sentiment so it can be used for any occasion card.  

The DT project for this week at Heart2Heart is a theme "True Love". Love is in the air! Valentine's Day is almost here! Share your true love with us, be it chocolate, a fur baby, or your significant other. You have all month to create and submit. Check out each of the February challenges and earn a badge for Perfect Attendance if you create a card for each  weekly theme during that month.

On the inside of the card stamped a border of hearts and put the frame from the oval die cut to add a sentiment for any occasion.
