With Love - Color Dare #313

My DT card for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #313.  Just purchased the Cross Stitch Love Stamp set and thought the colors were perfect for a CAS stamped floral.  All images were stamped on the white daily cardstock using masking for the floral.  Some of my spacing for the leaves were missed; so I stamped a second large flower in the Eggplant and then used the thin cut...not happy with the thickness of the white around the flower decided to fussy-cut and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  

We use CTMH color names for reference... however, you are welcome to use any products as long as you match closest to the colors in the Board and no additional colors except those on the color palette.  New Guidelines on Neutrals: White, Cream, Black, Gray, Kraft and Brown(s) are free to use; however if they are included in the challenge graphic they MUST be used in your creation.

Have a BALL on Your Special Day - Double Trouble Challenge #11

Well this really turned out to be a Double Trouble Triple Challenge.  Twisted Sister and I were asked to be Guest Designers on Double Dare's partnered Challenge at The Crafter's Café and they provide an image for you to use and mine was a Santa Pup.  

Now, of course there was no problem with the Black & White + one additional color; but when Twisted Sister wanted us to "rev" up our engines, create a "Boys" card, and include their favorite "wheel-ie" toy, the question was "How would a Santa Pup fit in my project?"  

My initial plan was to create a birthday card for my husband because this year he got a new terra-cotta golf cart, his favorite toy.  Knowing my extra color would be terra-cotta it only made sense to color the hat with the same color and create a Fall golfing cap.  The Pup was just going along for the ride, picking up the balls as he rode along and dropping the ball nearer to the next hole.  I had a lot of fun challenging myself to meet all the requirements of Double Trouble's challenge and include the image...what do you think?

There were a number of different golfing sentiments on this stamp so, so I just stamped away on the inside using black ink on all of them.

With Sympathy - Heart2Heart Week "Color Challenge"

This is my Design Team card for Heart2Heart - Inspirational Photo and Color Challenge using each of the closes colors and decided I was going to somewhat replicate the inspirational photo.  Started with dry brushing both ruby and tangerine for my background.  Couldn't find a tree in my stash of stuff so decided on using a embossing folder "Grass" and used a charcoal grey Copic Sketch brush pen to color all the embossed grass.  Background was layered with black and mink and sentiment added.

Thinking of You - Color Dare #312

This is my Design Team project for ColorMyHeart Color Dare #312 TicTacToe combined with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #283.  When a TicTacToe comes around I almost always select the full board so that I can use all the decorative design papers that never match up with a 3-color palette. The background paper is one of my favorites from "Boutique" and the other two panels...one is a PML card, the other the floral design paper. Chose to fussy-cut several flowers from the same paper to layer over the Sentiment banner using 3D thin foam tape for dimension and completed with scattering some beads.

You Are Always In My Heart - Color Dare #311

This is my Design Team project with ColorMyHeart Color Dare #311 combined with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #282.  There was such a variance of bright and pastel colors in the palette I wasn't sure how to bring them together...however, using a combination of both the lighter and darker sides of the cardstock, outlining the hearts with peacock and breaking up the saffron heart with the smaller pink heart...believe it was accomplished.  Used charcoal instead of black for the sentiment again to keep the softness of the colors.
