You Are Somebunny Special

This card was made using January's Progressive Freebie "Di's Digital Bunny Cupcake Wagon" at The Outlawz Challenge using the Try Stampin' on Tuesday Sketch Challenge #355 Love. Instead of an oval used a rectangle frame for my focal point.  Image was colored with shades of pink using Copic sketch pens, framed and attached to the polka-dot background.  Liquid Glass was used on the Bunny's nose, bow, cupcake and wheels on wagon and wink of stella on cupcake frosting, bow and two hearts in the background.  Sentiment stamped in black and hearts on image were stamped in bashful.

Fine and Dandy - H2H Jan 2018 Wk#5

I was really puzzled on what I would do with this theme. Looking up "Fine and Dandy" on the internet...Dandy comes from Dandelion. Middle Age England dandelions were a symbol of prosperity, therefore fine and dandy means everything is great, good and prosperous. So my initial thought was a dandelion.

However, in our Copic Class on Saturday we did a real cute image of Duckies...and what's finer and dandier than a bunch of ducks wading in a pool of puddles.  Made my card CAS because I didn't want to take away from the image.  Pulled out my cricut and did a talk bubble and sentiment and adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape.

Team B - Hostess: Brandi. Please hop on by H2H to view the beautiful inspiration from our DT, and join us in this Challenge. As you will  see even we have different interpretations of what "Fine and Dandy" means so really it is about you and how you interpret the theme.  You have all month to create and submit. Check out the other January challenges...you still have time to enter a project for them too...earn a badge for Perfect Attendance if you create a card for each weekly theme during that month.

To a Special Friend - Color Dare #277

This is my design card made for Color Dare #277 combined with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #437.

You will get to choose colors from a Tic-Tac-Toe board using the Close to My Heart color palette from the featured paper pack of the month. In January we have been featuring colors from the Chelsea Gardens paper pack. You must use and identify the three colors in a row/column of your choice with your entry. You may also add any or all of the other colors from the Tic-Tac-Toe board but you may not add any additional colors NOT on the board.

I chose to use all of the colors from the Tic-Tac-Toe Board and a variety of papers from the Chelsea Gardens paper pack.  All design panels were layered with black cardstock to define the sketch challenge.  The main background paper was one of the PML Cards in the packet.

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration for these challenges...and the Color Dare Challenge will be open for (2) weeks and you still have time to enter in our #276 color challenge of Mink, Sweet Leaf and Heather.

Love - AHSC #248

Just received one of my prizes (the ribbon die) from a Challenge and it was perfect when I rotated the AHSC sketch 180 Degrees.  Used design papers from the Charlotte Paper Pack and one of the PML cards which was used for the sentiment.  The Butterfly ribbon die was cut in black for the shadow, glued direct to the panel, cut two layers of white cardstock and adhered with 3D thin foam tape.  Panels were outlined with black cardstock and the additional black butterflies from the die were placed in the upper left-hand corner.

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Love to see you at this challenge...you have until Sunday, January 28th to enter your project.

The design team reveal for this sketch will be on Wednesday, so be sure to stop by to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team and other entrant inspirations for this challenge.

Smooches - H2H Jan Wk #4

Heart2Heart Theme Challenge "Tool Time: Shimmer Brush", what better than to have a lot of glitter on a Valentine Day Card combined with cute dies from Paper Smooches.  Using White Daisy cardstock cut a swirl of hearts border die and adhered to a panel of Raspberry Cardstock.  Cut a small panel on the other side of design paper from the Adventure Paper Fundamentals, cut assortment of dies, layered and adhered with 3D thin foam tape and brushed with all dies with CTMH Glitter Brush.

Be My Valentine - Color Dare #276

This is my design card made for Color Dare #276 combined with the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #436 and Try Stampin' On Wednesday Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge #1 (Die Cut, Heart and Paper Piecing).  Even though the color palette didn't have any pink or red in it I decided to do a Valentine Card with Green...a little out of the box but I'm happy with  it.  Die cut the heart with cardstock and a design paper and pieced together, the center heart is raised with thin foam sheet

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration for these challenges...and the Color Dare Challenge will be open for (2) weeks and you still have time to enter in our #275 color challenge of Blossom, Heather and Fern.

Picture Perfect - H2H January 3rd Week

My first thought of the Heart2Heart theme was photographs which usually mean a scrapbook page.  Many of my photos are family vacations and it was a lot easier to provide everyone with a copy using Snapfish then to do four sets of scrapbook pages...something my daughter might do.

Going through my unfinished projects came across some photos of my youngest grand-daughter and they were "picture perfect".  My dilemma of what I was going to do for this theme was over...a birthday card gift for my grand-daughter with photos taken 8 years ago...I thought she would enjoy them.

I have done this photo album before but decided to shortened the number of panels to accommodate a couple pictures...this was a fun project to put together using the very colorful and whimsical design papers from "Make Waves".  This was inside of my finished product however below are other photos to show the front and back covers of the album.

The first photo is the front of the album using a ribbon to keep the album closed.  The second photo is where a personal note will be added.

The photo below will slide under the ribbon on the back panel because it's adorable. The photo is our grand-daughter working out by our pool with her Aunt Lisa (aka: bzscrapper66)  I added "The End" on the photo for my blog, but the photo will just be under the ribbon for her to enjoy as a memory and keepsake.

Rose - Color Dare #275

Close to My Heart/Color Dare Challenge #275 ... Love the color of Bashful and it's easy to select a beautiful rose as my focal point using the Fern color for the leaves as my banners in the Tuesday Morning Sketch #435.  The rose was cut using the front and back of the Bashful for contrast and White Daisy cardstock for layering, attached to panel of Heather design paper with thin foam sheet and glitter applied to rose.  Leaves were cut with a design paper from Paper Fundamentals "Fern", layered with White Daisy cardstock, adhered under the rose and glitter applied.  For embellishment added three Gold Glitter Gems to finish it off.  Did not use a sentiment on the front so that it can be used as an all occasion card to be determined in the future for either a birthday, thank you or sympathy card.

Please stop by and view the DT's inspiration for both of these challenges...and the Color Dare Challenge will be open for (2) weeks, and don't forget to also view the previous challenge which is open until next week.

Cute As A Button - AHSC #246

For this type of sketch I'll usually go to my design paper zip strips to see what would inspire me; but instead decided to go through some of my border dies and chose some button dies. I knew what my theme was "cute as a button" and all I needed was some pretty colorful paper and colors that would fit a girl or a boy.  Some of the buttons cut off of the border I used as additional embellishments in the bottom r-h corner.

I didn't have a stamp for the sentiment so went to Design Space and found exactly what I needed, layered it and placed on the same paper as my background paper.

I was pleased and thought my card turned out as "Cute as a Button"

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Love to see you at this challenge...you have until Sunday, January 14th to enter your project.

On the inside of the card I used one of the button borders cut in the same as my background design paper.

Grey Skies are Gonna Clear Up "Spring Has Sprung" - H2H - Jan 2018 Wk #2

This week I am the Hostess for this week's Challenge "Winter Blues". My inspiration came from these words of wisdom "Let us Love Winter, for it is the Spring of Genius". Since living in Arizona Winter Blues have not been tough and I can't complain about cold and snow; however, I do miss the spring flowers back East after a long Winter Blues.

Maybe you have the Winter Blue as cold and snow sets in, or maybe your Winter Blues are a favorite swimsuit (for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere)! Or maybe it's a gorgeous color scheme! However you interpret this Challenge, we're sure you won't leave us feeling BLUE.

Remember that you have all month to play along with all of our January challenges (with links in the sidebar at right). Creating in your happy space can certainly beat the Winter Blues!  Be sure to join us and check out the other Design Team members and their inspiration base on this theme.

Finished Card fits into a 5" square envelope and Card easily opens up to a Pop-Up Box full of Spring flowers, not here in Arizona, but on the East Coast...so many memories of my Mom and Dad's gardens around our home.
