Blessed - Color Dare #263

This color challenge shouts out "Autumn/Fall" and a card fold that was shared by one of our Little Crop Group participants.  The fold gave me the panels needed for all the colors giving the fall dies a great background.  Sentiment on the back panel was left blank so you could fit it to any fall occasion.  Used a lot of dies and assortment of design paper from Falling For You and the Promagrante was a perfect color to throw into the this paperpack.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #263: We are challenging you to Use (All and Only) these three CTMH Colors: Fern, Pomegranate, Saffron, Espresso, Toffee, White Daisy and Optional Gold. If you don’t have these CTMH colors you may substitute similar colors. Hop on by and see the many inspirational cards by our DT and other entrants.

Our Weekly Color Dare Challenges are open for two weeks, so if you have not yet created and entered your project for Color Dare #262, click HERE or click on the sidebar at the top of our challenge blog.

Boo - AHSC #231

We had a crop in Mesa this weekend and were sharing ideas for Halloween cards.  I had ghosts that I was going to put on the panel border but because I didn't have my 3D foam tape with me it was not completed.  So I very carefully placed my ghosts in a very convenient spot to complete when I got home.  Well unpacked everything and went to complete my card the next day and my ghosts disappeared.  Thus my plan changed and decided on another border and used a larger ghost in the middle of the panel.  When I went to complete the inside of the card, my ghosts appeared.  How ghostly...now they go in my stash for a future card.

Warmest of Wishes - H2H Sept Wk# 4

Heart2Heart has a fun challenge for you this week...if you are a fan of coloring this week it's all about Markers and what creative, fabulous ideas and designs you all come up with.

My cricut explore has been sitting patiently on my counter anxious to be used. So today it got all its attention from me. This whole card, both inside and out, was created with markers/pens using three images from Cricut Design Space (listed under products) and of course some fussy-cutting.

The floral was printed on two different design papers and then layered and fussy-cut.  The sentiment was printed directly on the background design paper.  The green floral was added directly to the background and the flowers were adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape.

My friend and neighbor has not been feeling very well lately and thought this card would boost her up a little...pink is a favorite color of hers.

This is my Design Team project for Heart2Heart "Marker Madness". You have until the end of the month to create to be eligible for recognition as one of the Top 10 "Darlings". AND if you create a project for each challenge in the month of September you will earn a badge as an H2H Addict for Perfect Attendance.

For additional inspiration on this Challenge hop on by to see what other Design Team members have created and join in the fun. Hope this gives you some inspiration and enthusiasm to link your artwork as a participant ... we look forward to your creativity.

The inside of the card was another image printed on to the card base and then colored with Copic markers and a design paper trim along the edge.  When I went to complete my sentiment and card to give to my friend, I reversed the card around...and I couldn't decide which way to send the card.  I liked the simplicity of the front, and with the verse it seemed that should be the inside of the card.

Hocus Pocus 2 - Coffee Lovers Fall BlogHop

This card was made using the freebie image of Brentwood "Hocus Pocus" at Jessical Lynn's Originals.  Brentwood was my choice for the first card for the Coffee Lovers Fall BlogHop, and Brentwood was chosen as my last card to the Fall BlogHop...I love him.

However, my card was not made without a comedy of errors...
  • The image was on stamped on daisy white cardstock and did not look good with design paper chosen
  • Image had been colored but set aside because the eyes had been messed up
  • The frame was a die-cut which did not die cut all details of the frame design.
Just needed a little tender care and cleanup...the focal panel was distressed/sponged in expresso and chocolate inks, able to fix the eyes, and used the negative of the frame. Happy with result and Brentwood was not cast away.  Brentwood says "So Long" and see you at the Holiday Coffee BlogHop.

For the inside just added a corner strip of the same design paper used on the front of the card.

Cats & Bats - Color Dare #262

Ooooh, doesn't this look like a pumpkin spice latte or cappuccino...even a witch can make something brew-tiful.   Chose to use the Cats and Bats design papers, cut a few dies and the Lil' Inker stampset, a llittle fussy-cut and layering made up my card.

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #262: We are challenging you to Use (All and Only) these three CTMH Colors: Willow, Goldrush, Emerald and then use one, 2, 3 4 or 5 of the neutral colors (White, Pebble, Black, Charcoal and Pewter)  All these colors are in the Cats & Bats Paperpack.  If you don’t have these CTMH colors you may substitute similar colors. Hop on by and see the many inspirational cards by our DT and other entrants.

Hug In a Mug - Dare to be Artsy

DAY 7 AM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

Purchased a new Stamp Set by Dare 2B Artzy "Hug in a Mug" for the Fall Coffee Hop.  In viewing their Shop noted there was a link to their current months Challenge "Ship Shape" which required a shaped card.  I was making a K-Cup Holder as a thank you gift and thought this would fall into that category.  Previously made K-Cup holder as a gift for Christmas so I went back to the You Tube tutorial Simply Simple K-Cup By Connie Stewart to refresh my memory.

For my cups I stamped one in second generation black, and then used a Mirror Block from Paper Smooches to do a reverse cup. Colored cups using a combination of Copic colors to match up to the design paper, fussy-cut and then adhered to background with thin foam tape for dimension.  Stamped Sentiment and put on the K-Cup finger handle behind the the K-cups.

With a latte Love

DAY 6 PM - 2017 FALL COFFEE LOVERS BLOGHOP

Back a couple weeks ago created a few backgrounds using the shaving cream technique with the thought in mind to use this particular background for the Fall Coffee Bloghop with colors to represent a latte for my Lil'inker stamp set...I think it turned out brew-tiful.

This was the Lil' Inker stamp set I won for one of the random draws at the 2017 Summer Coffee Lovers BlogHop ... so anxious to use this stamp set in the next Coffee Lovers BlogHop.  Using the masking technique, I stamped three cups in cocoa color using the Misti to cover the background well. The latte tops were stamped with chocolate ink lightly so that the background colors showed through the design. Combined two of the stamps for the sentiment because they both fit the image so well. Used three different color sequins from the bronze sequin packet in the bottom corner. Card went together pretty fast, CAS, and turned out brew-tiful.

Along the border of the inside stamped with cocoa ink the same latte designs.

Happiness Is a Cup of Coffee

Back a couple weeks ago created a few backgrounds using the shaving cream technique with the thought in mind to use this particular background for the Fall Coffee Bloghop with colors to represent an autumn day.

Masked and stamped the background with several leaves in a variety of colors, and then to give it more texture ran it through the crackle embossing folder.   I then went through my stash of previously stamped die cuts and chose the branch and little birdies holding a cup, colored and adhered with 3D foam tape.  Found a stamp sentiment, colored, layered and adhered to background with foam sheet.

On the inside of the card, stamped masked and stamped three leaves and acorn on the bottom corner and stamped a frame for a sentiment.

Thank You - Coffee Lovers 2017 Fall BlogHop

When we had our Crop back East, one of the girls (Donna Davis, Diary of a Scrapbook Addict) introduced us to the Mosaic Moments Photo Collage System for scrapbooking. Usually scrapbook pages to me are minimal...so I decided to make a couple of cards (a little larger than A2's) using their 12 x 12 scrapbook cardstock, and dies for the squares.

Chose a couple of floral design sheets from a 6 x 6 Paper Pad by Jen Hadfield "Simple Life" for placing on the squares.  The sentiments were in the same paper pad.  Added flowers and foliage and placed a small wooden teacup among the flowers.  You can see my other floral card HERE.
