Happy Birthday - AHSC #219

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #219. Join this challenge...you have until Sunday, July 9th to enter your project.

The design team reveal for this sketch will be on Wednesday, so be sure to stop by to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team and other entrant inspirations for this challenge...and stop by every Monday for new sketches. Don't wait for the DT post to create your project...show us up with your artwork.

Instead of several cut banners on this sketch ... chose a pastel wood pattern with several colors and cut each piece of wood for the appearance as banners.  The other side of the wood pattern was a very pretty floral pattern which I used as my background.  Chose one of my favorite dies "Swirly Bird Ribbon", cut two colors and filled in with the second color, and added foliage in place of the ribbon.

The other side of the design paper cut for the fencing was used for the inside bottom of the card base.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was that I HAVE to have that wood grain paper (and I can't find anywhere around here that sells it!) This is such a gorgeous card! Everything works perfectly together and the bird is the perfect finishing touch.
