Winter Wishes - AHSC #197

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #197. Join this challenge...you have until Sunday, February 5th to enter your project.

The design team reveal for this sketch will be on Wednesdays, so be sure to stop by to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team and other entrant inspirations for this challenge...and stop by every Monday for new sketches.

While at a crop this weekend, sharing each others prize possessions, one of my friends had a die that was perfect for this week's challenge and my decision of Oh Deer Paper Pack design papers would be perfect as a background for this die.  And again this week I used a PML card that had the perfect sentiment for the inside of the wreath.

Three layers were cut for the wreath, using variety of colored cardstock, pieced and adhered with foam on the back to add dimension.  Found some pine cones in my stash and added a corner arrangement to the inside of the card.

Puppy Love - H2H Fall in Love

Please join us this week and other challenges in February AND remember you have all month to create to be eligible for recognition of the Top 10. For additional inspiration ... hop on by to see all the DT members' and participant creations.

My selection was to put together a Valentine's Day Card using Cricut Design Space "CTMH - Artristry" cartridge for the cute die-cuts and an embossed background from Darice "Paw Prints". A little layering and 3D thin foam tape used for dimension. Using a bone border as a ribbon on the outside and enlarged the bone border for the inside of the card.

Warm Christmas Wishes #2

So pleased with my previous Snowflake Christmas Card, I decided to do a second one for The Outlawz "Sunday CAS" using No Design Papers.  Will also submit this card to the two Christmas Challenges Happy Little Stampers "Christmas Anything Goes" and Crafty Hazelnut #317 "Christmas with Optional Sentiment".  Hop to these three challenges and see all the great Christmas inspiration of the DT and entrants...and start building up your stash of Christmas cards too.

Dry embossed white cardstock with the Snowflake Border, sponged lagoon Ink on full background, heat embossed the Snowflake Border with White, then used versa mark on full card and heat embossed with a glitter embossing powder.  Die cut the larger snowflake on the same cardstock, added lagoon cardstock to the back and adhered panels to the card base. Stamped sentiment in Lagoon, inked edges and layered with lagoon cardstock.

Click on photo to see closer detail. Stamped snowflakes with lagoon ink, along the bottom and side, on the inside of the card.

Love "Charlotte" - AHSC #196

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #196. Join this challenge...you have until Sunday, January 29th to enter your project.

The design team reveal for this sketch will be on Wednesdays, so be sure to stop by to see the beautiful cards from the rest of the design team and other entrant inspirations for this challenge...and stop by every Monday for new sketches.

My first thought for this sketch was washi tape and polka dot paper for the alternating strips; but then I wanted a design paper that would have the appearance of alternating strips and when looking through Charlotte paper pack there was a PML card that caught my attention. And then there was a second PML card that caught my attention...wow, I don't often use PML's for my cards and to find two that I could put together.  Often see other papercrafters using PML cards and coming up with great cards...so my challenge for this card was using these PML cards.

Found in my stash a small shaker that was created a few months ago and never used on a card...so the third panel was just an add to the PML cards.  Die-cut a sentiment and put all the pieces together...done with the front of the card.

On the inside used the same stamp set in variety of inks, masked and created the same floral on the front of the card. Another sentiment stamped on the side of the card.

You Are My Happy - Color Dare #227

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #227: This week’s colors shown in the Photo (All and Only) or the Paper Pack of Sugar Rush which includes all of these colors.  We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors ... please join in the fun.

You don't need a blog to submit your entry...if you are a member of Pinterest you can set up a Folder and link your entry to our Challenge. You have until Thursday, January 26th to enter your project.

Decided to create with Sugar Rush Paper Pack using the ice cream cone design papers as one of the panels and coordinated it with our Ice Cream Dream stamp set.  From another design paper fussy-cut one of the circles and layered them all with Pomegranate cardstock. Stamped the dog and ice cream dish, colored using ShinHan and Copic alcohol base pens, cut with Brother's Scan/Cut, adhered with 3D foam tape to panels and added liquid glass to parts of the images.

The design of the card was created using the MoJo Monday Sketch Challenge #480 and Between the Folds #38A "Love Theme".
The inside of the card was stamped and masked with a couple of the ice cream treat stamps and the sentiment "You Are My Happy".  Click on photos below to enlarge to see the detail of the liquid glass on the stamped images.

A LOT OF NEW STUFF: Just received my order with this new Paper Pack "Hello Lovely" and used a variety of the design papers to create my project, leaving the inside of the card blank for a birthday sentiment or any occasion.  Instead of hearts I decided to use a floral bouquet with a sentiment which was also in my order The coloring was done with a Water Pen using the CTMH ink colors used in the paper pack. And, love the new Gold Glitter Gems, they look so nice with these design papers.

The Magic of Winter - H2H Cold Days Warm Heart

For the month of January this week's Heart2Heart Challenge is "Cold Days, Warm Heart."

Please join this week's challenge AND you have all month to create to be eligible for recognition as a Top 10 for January Challenges. For other inspirations please hop on by to see all the DT members and participant creations.

Looking back when we lived in the Southtowns or Snow Belt of Buffalo, New York many times we watched from our windows the snowflakes falling from the sky...though the weather was cold it was a warm fuzzy feeling inside...the magic of Winter.

Experimented with a couple of different embossing folders and techniques for coloring, but chose this as my final.  My other experiments won't go unused...just a head start for my 2017 Christmas Card stash.

Dry embossed the background, sponged on Glacier (sounds cold) ink, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and layered on Glacier cardstock.  The sentiment focal point was a die cut from Cricut Design Space, using variety of cardstock...Glacier for the frame, White Daisy for the snowflakes, and a white glitter paper for the Sentiment.  After assembled added Wink of Stella to the frame and snowflakes.

One of my favorite stamps were used for the inside of the card and stamped with Glacier Ink.

This challenge was combined with MoJo Monday Challenge #479...perfect sketch for a Birthday Card for my husband, another golfing enthusiast...in fact his job in retirement is golfing as much as he can.

Please Hop on by both challenges to see the many DT Members creations and other entrants.

Using White Daisy and Peacock cardstock ... Cricut was very busy with all the golfing theme diecuts needed to create the sketch and the many layers.  The Tee was cut in half and inserted in both top and bottom of the square panel. Background design paper was bordered with black and placed on white card base.

The Inside of the card  was layered with Paper Fundamentals "love" design paper.

The Golf Bag Die cut using Swan Lake design paper, adhered to a panel of City Sidewalks design paper bordered with white cardstock and adhered with 3D Thin Foam Tape making a pocket for a Golfing Gift Card. Sentiment was stamped in Peacock Ink and added to golf bag.
