For You:  In recognition of Color Dare's 200th Challenge (almost 4 years of challenges)...come and join us.

There are so many terrific Close to My Heart paper products available the Design Team has decided to gift one (or maybe more) lucky winner(s) a choice of one CTMH paper packet from the current Annual Inspirations catalog, upcoming Annual Inspirations catalog or Holiday Expressions catalog.

In order to be eligible for a random draw you must leave a comment on EACH of our Design Team members blog posts for Color Dare #200.  Click here to start commenting.

My Project:  My project for this week was inspired by the Heart2Heart June 27, 2016 Challenge "3D Delights".  For the 4th I needed something for a candy favor and remembered that my friend had made a Twisted Box awhile ago (click here)...so I went to YouTube and chose to use France Martin's tutorial for the 12 x 12 card stock (click here)  For the box I used CTMH Colonial White and random stamped a variety of stamps from several stamp sets using the other two colors in the challenge.  Added a sentiment using a variety of stamps and fussy-cut both the circle and sentiment and adhered to the top of the box with a red twine.

Me and Color Dare: My daughter introduced me to my first sketch challenge and shortly after that I started looking for other challenges that interested me.  Not too sure how I found Color Dare but possibly looking at other bloggers that shared their projects with several other challenges.

Clicking along I found ColorMyHeart Color Dare...Wow, I can combine this with my sketch challenge.  And find a theme I want, just helps me design a project...I have my color, my sketch and my theme.

Color Dare has also helped me to put color combinations together that I wouldn't normally do; it helps me to create outside of the box...and that's fun.  Weekly I submitted something to Color Dare for more than a year, and my calling came to join Color Dare as a DT member...a little hesitant, yes...but knew I could do it.  I'm happy to say I'm in my second 6-month term with Color Dare and it satisfies me with sharing my creativity with others and your sharing with us at Color Dare.  Hope I have inspired you to come back and create for future Color Dare Challenges.

Photo 1 is the outside top of the box, and the 2nd photo is the inside of the box before twisting...the bottom can be filled with candy, or a gift of money, or a small gift.

Photo 1 shows the box is twisted and the top portion should look like a funnel.  Photo 2 shows the funnel filled with more candy, or other gift.

There is also a You Tube tutorial on a smaller box using 8.5 x 11 cardstock by France Martin (Click Here) "Decorative Twisted Box".

Anne, thank you for your comment. I have tried reaching out to you, by Facebook messenger, to let you know your link on last week's challenge does not take you to your card for commenting. Your card is beautiful. Please direct us to your facebook page with the card so DT can make comments.

Thank you for linking to my blog for the CASE. I think these boxes (with the candy) would be great to give out at an Independence Day cookout. Your creation is fabulous!
