Joy "White Pines"

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #192. You still have time to join this challenge...you have until Sunday, January 1st to enter your project.

Please hop on by to check the Design Team members and other entrant inspirations for this week, and every Monday for new sketches.

2017 CHRISTMAS STASH:  This is my first 2017 Christmas Card using the last 2016 Atlantic Hearts sketch.  The other day I received several Christmas dies and wanted to try some of them out...so decided to do another Christmas card for the start on my 2017 stash.

Last year before the retirement of the "White Pines" Paper Pack...I ordered another packet with the intent to use for my 2016 cards; however, with all the pretty new CTMH Winter paper packets I never pulled this packet out.  All the Design papers are very pretty and any combination is a perfect match.  The snowflake was cut from the same design paper as the background behind the die cut deer.  All dies were layered for dimension and additional foam tape used on the snowflake.

Twinkle - AHSC #191

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #191. You still have time to join this challenge...you have until Sunday, December 25 to enter your project.

Please hop on by to check the Design Team members and other entrant inspirations for this week, and every Monday for new sketches.

MY CHRISTMAS STASH:  This is my eighth and final Christmas Card using the Atlantic Hearts sketches, and happy to say most of my cards are already in the mail.

Heart2Heart and Between the Folds 36B challenges  both required using CTMH Paper Pack "Oh Deer"...so please stop by these challenges to see the many projects created by the Design Teams and entrants.  This paper is so versatile, great Christmas or any occasion cards...one of my favorite paper packs.

Pretty much followed the sketch with just adding some layers of frames, and also layered all the banners.   Stamped the sentiment on the panel with versa-mark and then embossed with gold.

 Awarded:

Added a couple more zip strips on the right-hand inside border of the card.

Magic of Christmas - Color Dare #224

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #224: Join us in this week’s challenge for the combination of colors White Daisy, Crystal Blue, Cranberry and Willow (All and Only). We encourage you to use CTMH products; however you may use any products to participate using closest to colors ... join in the fun. You don't need a blog to submit your entry...if you are a member of Pinterest you can set up a Folder and link your entry to our Challenge. You have until Thursday, December 22nd to enter your project.

Due to everyone's busy schedule for Christmas preparation and parties, Color Care has decided to take a couple weeks off and the next challenge will be posted on January 6, 2017...so please come back and join us for another fun filled year of color challenges.  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

This card was created using Cas(e) This Sketch #201.  Oops, I missed the deadline for this posting, must have calculated wrong, but still want to give credit to the challenge's sketch.  I don't often do CAS cards but thought I would try one.

I've had this stamp set for some time, and since this was a CAS card it would be good for a focal point because there is so much design to it.  The stocking was stamped first in cranberry, then masked to add the gift box in willow, and the sentiment stamped with crystal blue.  Using a second stamp set added under the sentiment some soft crystal blue snowflakes.  The panel was die stitched and adhered with foam tape on a decorative cardstock to add a little more whimsy to the card.

The inside was stamped with a few more soft crystal blue snowflakes. CAS and fast...and happy with the results.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas - AHSC #190

My card this week as Design Team Member for Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #190. You still have time to join this challenge...you have until Sunday, December 18 to enter your project.

Please hop on by to check the Design Team members and other entrant inspirations for this week, and every Monday for new sketches.

MY CHRISTMAS STASH:  This is my seventh Christmas Card using the Atlantic Hearts sketches...watch for my next Christmas Card every Monday until mid December.

Was going to use holly stamps and when I went to Cricut Design Space to get the cuts to stamp on decided to make my own panel with the same cutouts for a shaker card. Filled the shakers with tiny glitter, and the berries are red sequins with liquid glass added to the center of each berry.  Made my own sentiment through the text on Design Space and printed with the Cricut thin pens in red.  Distressed the panel of holly with Cranberry ink.

Took one of my favorite design papers from the paper pack, die cut the snowflake in place of the circle in the sketch and backed with a dark cardstock for contrast.  Cut a section of one of the PML Cards in the packet and framed with cardstock.  Added ribbon/bow and set a cute little owl on top of the bow...stamped a sentiment, framed and placed on the panel.

On the inside of the card put a diagonal border of the same design paper and die cut a deer.

Merry Christmas

Using the Theme from The Paper Players "Snowflakes" and the Color Challenge from The Outlawz Tuesday Color Challenge "Blues".

Putting this card together didn't take a lot of time "Clean and Simple"...and using snowflake border die it didn't need any other embelllishments.  The sentiment was dry embossed and then used sand paper, ligthty, to remove the color.  Added a glitter strip on the edge of the snowflake border.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Using a Christmas Die Cut from Cricut Design Space, and stamp set from CTMH, created a card for Fantabulous "Christmas Challenge"  After completing three of the four cards Bitten By the Bug 2 announced a "Christmas Words" Challenge today so my fourth card instead of a stamped sentiment chose the same sentiment in a die-cut from Cricut Design Space.

Another Christmas Card, with no Sketch in mind, but to add to my 2016 Christmas Cards...loved the Brick Background paper which was cut and placed on card base a couple weeks ago; but just couldn't decide what to do with it. Pulled out the card base once again and chimney came in mind and off to Cricut Design Space to find something...purchased and modified this image. It all started to come together and was pleased with the design and made a couple more cards of the same.

Front of card was Santa coming down the chimney and on the inside Santa was traveling on to the next home.

Gold and Bronze Glitter Card - Color Dare #222

Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #222: Join us in this week’s challenge combining either White Daisy and Black or Colonial White with any one or all of the Metalic (Cold, Bronze and Silver). You have until Thursday, December 8th to enter your project. You don't need a blog to submit your entry...if you are a member of Pinterest you can set up a Folder and link your entry to our Challenge.

For my project I chose to use a real decorative die using Gold and adding bronze glitter tape behind the Butterfly and adding a Bronze Border along the inside of the Manilla Card Base. To centers of some of the flowers added a few glitter dots with Liquid Glass and some bronze pearls.  No sentiment was included because I wanted it generic for a future occasion.

Season's Greetings

Another Christmas Card using the Heart2Heart Challenge "Create with City Sidewalks" paper pack or cartridge.  I chose to use the paper pack using three of the different design papers.
Background design paper was adhered to card base.  Another panel cut with a second design paper, framed with colonial white cardstock and ahered with foam on background for dimension.

Made three die cuts of the candles...two different colors for layering, and a third from design paper for piecing.  Berries were cut from cardstock, adhered to holly leaves and liquid glass added to give dimension. The sentiment was a die cut from Anna's Christmas Cards Cartridge.

Inside of the card, along the bottom added a strip of cranberry cardstock, from stash a die cut of a holly and added three berries using red gllitter tape and hole punch.
