It's Your Day

My Blueprint for the Heart2Heart Challenge for the March 9, 2015 Your Favorite Sketch was taken from a 2002 Close to My Heart Originals "Card Confidence Program" using the 5 x 7 No. 8 Sketch "Stand Tall".  Few people will remember this program; but this was our bible of creativity back years ago when creating cards and adding embellishments to the different sketches....

The Paper used is from Hopscotch PaperPak with Flaxen Cardstock. Pink Ink Stitching was added to the border of the card, and the Tall Flaxen panel.  The Flowers were from the Hopscotch Complements, cut and crunched and centers are glitter tape and liquid glass. Dragonfly and Border on Sentiment were cut from CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and gold glitter tape added to body of Dragonfly and liquid glass.  Sentiment is from Stamp Set B1467 "You Mean the World to Me Occasions"  Instead of the ribbon, I added a button to the top left-hand corner from Hopscotch Assortment.  Entire card was distressed with Whisper.

I'm glad I pulled out this old "Card Confidence Program" because it will give me helpful sketches for Heart2Heart Challenges and other Challenges that don't use any sketch.  They may be OLD sketches, but add new products and embellishments they look like NEW.  This book will no longer be buried in my drawer.  Go to Heart2Heart to see what other sketches have been used for this challenge and see how cards were embellished...you have until the end of the month to add your creativity.

I have ALL these books and use them often - they are such wonderful resources. I adore the flowers - they are a perfect addition to your card! Thanks for joining us at Heart 2 Heart this week.

Alyson, thank you for your comments. I have a question on this entry. On the link for this challenge, there is a delete button that shows up on my entry, can you tell me why or how this might have gotten on my entry and what it means? Couldn't find an email that I could send this question to so using my comment area for contact.

So cute,, I love the flowers! I love that you went really old school with Card Confidence. I did not get that one, it was discontinued before I had the chance to get it but I have all that have come since! I really love your card and it shows that a good sketch with the right papers can be amazing, no matter how old the sketch is! Thank you for playing along with Heart 2 Heart Challenge!

Sue, I don't see any delete button unless it has been removed... let me know if it is still there from your end and I will see what I can do. It is not showing up on the H2H site from what I can see.

Thanks Alyson. If I have other questions what is the general email for questions relative to the Challenge?

At the bottom of of each challenge, under the link tab, you will see "Posted by... " and beside that it will say No Comments or however many comments there are. Our moderator checks comments regularly so you can use that area to comment if you have any issues in the future. Hope that helps!

What a great card! In regards to the delete button, with the linking option that always appears on your own entry so that you can delete your own entry if you wish, but no-one else will see it and no-one else apart from the site administrator can remove your entry. I hope that clears up any confusion. Thanks for joining us at H2H challenges!

Thanks Lauren. I did notice when the challenge closed, it disappeared. I just had not ever remembered seeing it before and I was concerned.
